SUPPORTING SPECIAL OLYMPICS FLORIDA
The USF Police Department is selling t-shirts and hats for the Law Enforcement Torch Run, the largest fundraising and public awareness project for Special Olympics Florida. T-shirts are $12 each, hats $10 each. Runs are held across the state in advance of the Special Olympics Florida State Summer Games. The intrastate torch relay begins at the end of March and culminates at the Opening Ceremonies on May 18, 2012.
If you'd like to like to show your support, t-shirts and hats can be purchased by emailing an order to Lt. Meg Ross at firstname.lastname@example.org.
CHAMPION'S CHOICE GETS TOP BILLING
USF's new dining facility "Champions Choice" is the cover story in the February 2012 issue of On-Campus Hospitality, a publication serving campus food service professionals nationwide.
This new facility opened to rave reviews and continues to be a favorite dining spot for students, faculty, staff and campus visitors. You'll find lots of healthy choices and a vibrant atmosphere.

ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES LAUNCHES NEW WEBSITE
We're pleased to announce that the new Administrative Services website has been launched! We will continue to update the content and add new features that will enhance our new look. In conjunction with the Administrative Services website launch, we launched a Facilities Management web page that will provide a spot for us to feature current projects, completed projects, and other major accomplishments of Facilities Planning & Construction and Physical Plant. As with the Administrative Services website, we will continue to add new features to the Facilities Management web page.
Wayne Espinola, Administrative Services Webmaster, continues to work with each of the divisions and departments on the development of their new websites. It's an exciting project and we look forward to launching websites that provide a fresh and consistent look for the Administrative Services area. We appreciate everyone's efforts to keep the website project moving forward.
SUN DOME'S EXCITING TRANSFORMATION
The USF Sun Dome renovations are quickly moving along. Every day brings the project closer to completion. The transformation is amazing and we want to share these updated images with you. New images are posted weekly, so be sure to bookmark this link and check back to watch the progress.
We're counting down the days to substantial completion on April 15th! Visit the Facilities Management website for the countdown and more information on the progress of USF Sun Dome renovations.
"HERD OF BULLS CHALLENGE" - SAVE THE DATE
The Faculty & Staff Campaign 2011-12 is in full swing and to create some added excitement, a "Herd of Bulls Challenge" has been issued to USF's leadership team. Last year's "Pie Challenge" was a great success. We're hoping this year's "Herd of Bulls Challenge" will be a roaring success. This year's event which features a "mechanical bull" will take place on April 16th at 10:30 outside the Marshall Student Center. Be sure to mark your calendars – you won't want to miss out on all the fun! For more information, read this article posted on Inside USF.
WALKING IN SUPPORT OF BREAST CANCER AWARENESS & PREVENTION
Wayne Wilcox, Custodial Superintendent, Physical Plant, is one
of the dedicated men walking a mile in heels and a dress in Florida Hospital's annual "Heroes 'N Heels Walk" on March 24th. At last year's walk, Wayne won "best dress."
This worthy cause assists Tampa Bay area women who can't afford to receive screenings and treatment for breast cancer. For every $100.00 raised, a mammogram is provided to a patient who otherwise wouldn't be able to receive one.
We applaud Wayne for his community service and support of breast cancer awareness and prevention. If you'd like to support Wayne in this walk, you can donate using this form or online at this website. The walk begins at 8:30 a.m. at the LifeHope Medical Offices building at Florida Hospital (formerly University Community Hospital) on Fletcher Avenue.
Come on out and cheer on Wayne!
