USF LEADS RNC MOTORCADES!

UP

USF Police Officer Mark Hopper, in a USF patrol car, led the way in all the VIP motorcades during the recent Republican National Convention (RNC). The photo shown here was taken at the Lakeland Airport after Officer Hopper led Governor Romney's motorcade from Tampa back to Lakeland.

Officer Hopper used to perform this duty when he worked at the Tampa Police Department and was specifically requested to do so during the RNC. USF was the beneficiary of his experience and reputation as the USF Police Department's marked car was out in front leading these motorcades all week.

TWO NEW BEAUTIFUL OUTDOOR SPACES ON CAMPUS TO ENJOY!

Over the summer two outdoor spaces were transformed into wonderful, inviting spots to be enjoyed by students, faculty, staff, alumni and other visitors to campus. Completed in time for the start of the fall semester, they've both already become hot spots on campus.

parkWe invite you to take a stroll through The Park on Collins, a new beautiful urban park

located along the USF Tampa Library's south facade. Kick back on one of the swings, enjoy your lunch at one of the tables under the expansive sun shade, or even soak your feet in the relaxing fountain!

pavilionAcross campus, come discover the West Pond Pavilion! Located on the west side of campus adjacent to Simmons Park (southwest of FAH), the West Pond Pavilion is another new outdoor space that provides a tranquil and shaded area for students, faculty, staff and visitors to enjoy our beautiful campus.

BECOME AN "INCREDIBULL" TODAY!

Did you know heart disease is the #1 killer in Florida? To help bring awareness to this serious health issue, USF participates in the American Heart Association's annual Heart Walk to promote healthy living and to raise funds that will support valuable, lifesaving research and education.

We hope that you will join with your coworkers and become a member of the Administrative Services' Incredibulls Heart Walk Team in support of this worthwhile cause. The Heart Walk will take place on Saturday, November 10th at Raymond James Stadium, so mark your calendar and bring out your family and friends (even your dog!), for a great walk through Al Lopez Park and the stadium to celebrate our efforts.

Aisha Lawrence, Environmental Health & Safety, is serving as our team captain for this year's campaign. Click here to join our team, or contact Aisha at amlawrence@usf.edu or by phone at (813) 974-0872 to get set up as a walker. We look forward to seeing you at the Walk!
