peroPero Borkovic, Sr. Custodial Worker, Physical Plant, is retiring effective March

1st after 14 years of service. He joined USF in 1999 as a Custodial Worker and

in 2008 was promoted to Sr. Custodial Worker.


As a Sr. Custodial Worker, Pero is responsible for overseeing staff and maintaining the overall appearance of assigned buildings. Highly professional, Pero is known for his consistent positive attitude and for going above and beyond to make sure all work is done in an efficient and effective manner. He will be greatly missed by his customers and co-workers.


KathyKathy Bennett, Program Assistant/Fiscal and Business Specialist, Facilities Planning &

Construction, is retiring March 5th after 11 years of service. She joined USF in September 2002 as a Program Assistant/Contracts, which later was reclassified to her current position.


An exemplary employee, Kathy has been responsible for the implementation and coordination of the process to procure professional design and construction services for major and minor projects in support of the University's Capital Improvement Program. The main point of contact for the department's service providers she was well respected for her professionalism, friendly attitude, and very high attention to customer service. A joy to work with, Kathy will be missed by her colleagues and those she served.

Andrea Urig-Menedez, University Police, has been promoted to Training Support Specialist effective February 22nd. She joined USF in June 2011 as a Police Communications Specialist.. Please join us in congratulating Andrea on her recent promotion and wishing her much success in her new position!

kickMark your calendar and start pulling together your team for the upcoming Faculty & Staff Kickball Event, which will be held at Magnolia Fields on Saturday, April 6. Kickball team registration information can be found at

this website. Kickball games will begin at 9 a.m., and the day will include food, entertainment and kids' activities throughout the event.

The 2012-2013 Faculty & Staff Campaign is well underway. As we move into the final months of the Campaign, we can again celebrate great success and the generosity of our faculty and staff contributions.


The USF Tampa Deans and Vice Presidents have been challenged to meet or exceed their established area participation goal and the results will be determined after the "rally" period beginning March 1st and ending March 31st. ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES IS DEFINITELY IN!


Once the competition wraps up, a "Ride the Wave" event will be held on Monday, April 15th at 10 a.m. outside the Marshall Student Center near SVC. Everyone is invited to attend! Please mark your calendar and plan on joining in the fun.
