Chief Thomas Longo(813) 974-3963
Chief Thomas Longo began his service with the USF Police Department in May 2006. Prior to this he was Assistant Chief of Police at Florida State University, and before that Assistant Chief of Police at Old Dominion University in Virginia. Tom began his career with the Tampa Police Department in 1981 and also served as a Special Agent in the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration. He received his B.A. in Politics from Eckerd College, and his M.A. in Public Policy and Juris Doctor degrees from Regent University. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy, the Professional Executive Leadership School at the University of Richmond, and the Florida Law Enforcement Executive Institute. Tom oversees all law enforcement activities on the USF Tampa campus.
