International students living outside the U.S. may apply up to one year prior to the term of entry. Additional time is usually required for submission of academic documents, evaluation, and immigration related matters. I-20 issuance for obtaining a student visa must be completed at least 30 days prior to the beginning of the semester.

We will notify you by international airmail once an admissions decision has been made. After you have submitted your online application, you will receive an email from the Office of Undergraduate Admissions with your student identification number. You can use this number to check the status of your application at any time.

Lower Level Transfer Applicant Checklist

If you are a lower level student (30 to 59 transferable semester credit hours), you must meet all freshman and transfer requirements.  You will need to submit the following to be considered for admission:

  • Application for admission
  • Non refundable US$30.00 application fee
  • Official secondary transcripts/academic records submitted directly to Office of Undergraduate Admissions by the issuing institution
  • An official course-by course Foreign Credential Evaluation along with a copy of the post-secondary transcript in the original language and the English translation
  • Official SAT or ACT scores
  • Official TOEFL or IELTS scores, if applicable. For more information, see language requirements.
  • Financial Statement, if F-1 or J-1 visa required
  • Copies of immigration documents, if currently in the U.S. on a temporary visa (for example, H-4, L-2, E-2)

Upper Level Transfer Applicant Checklist

If you are an upper level student (60+ transferable semester credit hours) you will need to submit the following to be considered for admission:

  • Application for admission
  • Non refundable US$30.00 application fee
  • An official course-by course Foreign Credential Evaluation along with a copy of the post-secondary transcript in the original language and the English translation
  • Official TOEFL or IELTS scores for applicants whose primary language is not English. For more information, see language requirements.
  • Financial Statement, if F-1 or J-1 visa required
  • Copies of immigration documents, if currently in the U.S. on a temporary visa (for example, H-4, L-2, E-2)
