Sport Club Supervisor

Sport Club Supervisor Positions Available for Fall 2009
The Sport Club Supervisor reports to the Sport Club Coordinator and Sport Club Graduate Assistant and serves as a liaison between the Sport Club Program Administration and the sport club athletes. Supervisors will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of the administration of the Sport Club Program, including: event management, club communication, office coverage, data collection, risk management, creating and implementing policies and procedures, marketing, and equipment inventory.
Requirements:
Must be an enrolled student (as of Fall 2009) at the USF Tampa Campus
Maintain current CPR/AED and First Aid Certifications
Must be available to work some weekdays, weeknights, and weekends (10 – 20 hours per week)
Possess a general knowledge of sports and a genuine interest in serving students
Must be a self-motivated individual who shows initiative and does not need constant supervision
Possess a basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher

Summer Camp Counselor

Summer Camp Counselor Positions Available for Summer 2009
The Summer Camp Counselor reports directly to the Summer Camp Coordinator and is responsible for the primary supervision of all camp participants. Counselors will be responsible for the daily administration of the Summer Camp Program, including: ensuring the well-being and safety of all participants, administering games and activities (for outdoor, indoor, and pool environments), following all risk management protocol, providing daily feedback to the Summer Camp Coordinator, filling out paperwork and maintaining daily logs, and maintaining a fun and safe environment for the participants.
Requirements
Must be at least 16 years old
Maintain current Adult and Child CPR/AED and First Aid Certifications (provided during training)
Must be available to work Mondays – Fridays (30 to 40 hours per week)
Obtain van and golf cart driver certifications (provided during training)
Must be a self-motivated individual who shows initiative and does not need constant supervision
Genuine interest in working with children
Possess a general knowledge of sports and games

Outdoor Recreation is hiring ORC and RFP employees for the summer and is looking for people who want to lead trips for us next year.
Challenge Course Facilitators – Challenge course facilitators work with student organizations, community groups, and corporate groups with experiential learning opportunities. We are looking for energetic learners that like working with people. Experience is preferred but not necessary.
Fitness

Fitness Staff -The Fitness Staff member oversees activities in the fitness area; provides basic knowledge, instruction and encouragement to participants. Fitness staff are there to help ensure a safe workout environment for our patrons. Some duties include instructing proper use of equipment, proper spotting techniques, cleaning and maintaining equipment, and general knowledge of fitness aspects. Fitness staff members must give excellent customer service to the participants. Requirements– Hold current CPR/First Aid certifications and be able to attend mandatory monthly staff meetings.
Personal Trainer – The Personal Trainer’s role is to promote healthy and active lifestyles among the USF students, staff, alumni and faculty. The Personal Trainer performs fitness assessments and provides custom exercise programming and supervision of clients. Requirements – Hold a personal training certification from A.C.S.M, N.S.C.A, ACE, or NASM and maintain current CPR/First Aid certifications

Job Title: Office Assistant
Purpose/Primary Function of the Position: The OPS/FWS student or non-student employee will be cross-trained to provide customer service and support for both the membership services and various programs provided by the Campus Recreation department.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in greeting, screening and referring visitors to the appropriate Campus Recreation programs and staff. Screen and direct all incoming telephone and walk-in inquiries. Inform students, faculty/staff, alumni etc., regarding membership services, various programs, and other services offered by the recreational department. Perform daily sales transactions for the variety of services offered by the Campus Recreation department. Responsible for daily data entry of membership services, cash handling, filing, and other multi-task oriented items related to recreational services.
