Length of Employment: One year

Duties: This job is responsible for designing and developing database applications.  The incumbent will write test code and/or job control language to test applications/programs with test data, debug and document applications/programs developed to support research projects, troubleshoot computer run malfunctions, and maintain program files and records.  The incumbent will design and develop web pages and database/web integration programs using a variety of applications, including: Microsoft Visual Basic.NET, Microsoft ASP.NET, Microsoft Access, and Microsoft SQL server.  The incumbent will also work with Principal Investigators to organize data to meet research project goals, and develop and maintain team collaboration on assigned projects.

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma and two years programming experience.  Appropriate college course work or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.   

Preferred Qualifications: Two years programming experience using Microsoft Visual Basic.NET, Microsoft ASP.NET and Microsoft SQL Server.  Development experience in three-tier database solutions.  Programming experience within a research environment.
