Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma and one year telephone/switchboard experience.  Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.  Proficiency in typing and state certification on NCIC/FCIC computer system. 

Preferred Qualifications: Ability to communicate effectively by phone/police radio, ability to handle several functions simultaneously while under a high degree of stress.  Shift, weekend and holiday work required.

Drug screening and background investigation are required, including an FBI fingerprint check.
