Approval Process
NOTE: The approval process
at USF Sarasota-Manatee, USF St. Petersburg, USF
Lakeland and USF Health is centralized in their
respective HR offices and may require additional or
different forms and documentation. Contact the
HR Regional Office for more information.
1. The unit
Equal Opportunity
Liaison (EOL)
or designee,
and the hiring authority must review and approve the
Diversity &
Equal Opportunity Office (DEO)
Hiring Report
for all Administration and Staff positions.
2. The Provost/Vice
President/designee may require additional approvals
before your hiring documents are sent to the HR Employment Center or the appropriate HR
Regional Office. Contact your EOL to verify if other
approvals are needed.
3. The hiring authority
must submit the
Candidate Review Form
and Hiring Report along with the Application for
Employment and/or resume, and all applicable
confirmations (references, education, licensures,
employment verifications, etc.) to Human Resources. Your
HR Representative
will provide notification of approval, denial or the
need for additional information via email.
4. Once
approved, the HR Employment Center or the appropriate
HR Regional Office will submit the completed
Hiring Report and supporting documentation along with
the selected candidate’s application directly to DEO for
monitoring, retention and reporting. After review, DEO
may recommend corrective actions to hiring departments,
as appropriate.
