What are the Department Profiles?
|
|
Developed by DART in compliance with Academic Affairs specifications, the Department Profiles are simply
the fastest, easiest way for anyone interested
to find five year trends of performance data for any specific USF department. This performance
data includes, but is not limited to applied, accepted, and enrolled, headcount, credit hour, degree, faculty, and
staff information. Best of all, everything is presented on one easy to read page.

How do the Department Profiles Work?
|
|
As all the data in the Profiles are displayed as five year trends, there are no choices
or term or year with which to contend. Simply choose the campus, college, and department
you are interested in and click the '~Submit~' link. This will generate a report for the
variables you've selected.
|
| |
|
The college and department choices are all presented in the context of a 'student department'.
For this application, 'Course departments' have been mapped to student departments when
appropriate. For further information on this process, or to see the mapping, go to the
Metadata section and see the
Student Department to Course Department Crosswalk
.

Print Ready?
|
|
The Department Profiles' Report Page has been optimized to be viewed in your browser
window. Unfortunately, this means the page does not print well. Consequently, there are
links in both the upper and lower right hand corners of the page. These are labeled 'Print'
and will take you to a page with less formatting that will both print and download better
than the original report.

|
Is That All?
|
|
Yes. DART's goal is to make rich, complex, and useful University performance data as
easy to access as possible. We feel we have succeeded in this goal with the Department
Profiles.
