Foundation Office of Business & Financial
Services. Be introduced to the BANNER Finance
Module, Deposit and Fund Management processes,
Accounts Payable policies and COMPASS. This is
an excellent training for members of the

Foundation Accounts Payable Policy & Procedure
Training:
Gain an understanding of the Foundation
expenditure policies focusing on new and updated
policies with a refresher of existing policies.
We will present new expenditure forms and go
over tips to follow to get your check request
processed faster such as writing a descriptive
but clear and concise Business Purpose. This is
an excellent training for all members of the
university community
who
manage or reconcile Foundation funds and a
necessary training for those that initiate
Foundation check requests. |

Foundation Deposits Process Training:
Gain an understanding of Foundation deposit
policies and procedures focusing on Foundation
cash collection issues, Educational Business
Activities (EBA), sponsorships, etc. We will
present new deposit transmittal forms and EBA
forms. Also, hear about a service the
Foundation provides to you – the new Foundation
Courier Service. This is an excellent training
for all members of the university community
who
manage or reconcile Foundation funds and a
necessary training for those that initiate
Foundation deposits. |

USF Foundation Online Cash Activity Report Training:
Special sessions to announce the release of a new online cash activity report that will be available beginning July 15th. Be introduced to the report enhancements including how to access the report, how to download data to excel and what additional data is included in the report. Learn how these enhancements will aid you in the fund reconciliation process. This training is a must for all USF Foundation Banner Finance users. If you utilize the hardcopy general ledgers, check balances of your funds, initiate deposits or check requests, or review your fund detail to determine if a gift has posted or if a check has been paid this is a training you don’t want to miss! |

USF Foundation EBA (Educational Business Activity) Training:
Planning a fundraising event for your area that
you will charge people to attend? If so, bring
your questions to this interactive session on
Foundation EBAs. We will discuss the new EBA
form (that has been released for Foundation
events only), auctions, qualified sponsorship,
etc. This is an excellent training opportunity
for all university community members involved
with fundraising events. |

Fund Management
Training
Gain an understanding of establishing new
Foundation funds through the completion of a
Fund Data Form (a new and simplified form will
be released at this training!). Tips will be
shared with proper naming of Foundation funds
and writing an appropriate fund purpose. We
will also cover how to make changes to existing
Foundation funds and how to close unused funds.
This is an excellent opportunity to bring your
questions on all of your fund management issues.

Learn how to navigate in the Finance module of
BANNER version 7 and gain an understanding of
how financial information is presented to assist
in the reconciliation and administration of your
funds. This training session is an excellent
refresher for experienced users and a necessary
training for those new to the Foundation and the
Finance module of BANNER. |
