November 2-4, 2007 - USF Family Weekend
The University of South Florida is pleased to host our annual Family Weekend program in partnership with the USF Alumni Association, which is the largest University sponsored event for parents and families. Since its inception, Family Weekend has provided parents and family members with the opportunity to enjoy the campus community, spend time with their students, experience a variety of academic and social programming, and share their Bull Pride.
Registration Begins - Monday, September 10, 2007
Registration Closes - Friday, October 19, 2007
Children 12 & under are 50% off. Your students are required to pay a fee
for ticketed events.
WHAT YOUR REGISTRATION FEE COVERS
The registration fee includes the following: two family weekend t-shirts,
and your registration packet materials.
REFUND POLICY
Refunds will be honored if a written/faxed request is received by October
26, 2007.

Tampa Campus : The Claw Golf Course at USF
Tee times start at 7:30am. (if you need an earlier start time, please let us know)
Join other USF families at USF’s golf course, The Claw, for
18 holes of golf with the cart & range balls included.

Take the family on an adventurous canoe trip down the
Hillsborough River while taking in the essence of Tampa’s
natural beauty. This trip will sell out early as there are
limited spaces, so book early! |

5:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m.
The purpose of this program is to educate parents and students of USF
about safety precautions, safety awareness, and crime prevention, to help
promote an open line of communication between University Police and
the students. University Police hosts numerous Safety Seminars through
out the year. Topics include: Property Identification, Safety in Outdoor
Exercising, Personal Safety, Travel Safety, and Self Defense. Parents are
strongly encouraged to attend. |

The Parade Watch Party features a free cookout, balloon
artists, face painters, giveaways, games and DJ music. |

Time: Three hours prior to kick-off (TBD)
This year’s Bulls Roast will feature a delicious “buffet”-with all the sides
you love, beer, frozen margaritas, free pom poms, tattoos, stilt walkers,
caricature artists, beads, games, giveaways, DJ music and guest appearances
by President Judy Genshaft, Rocky the bull mascot , the Herd of Thunder,
USF Cheerleaders and Sun Dolls.

Are you ready for some football? If you wish for your student to attend the
game with you, you must purchase a ticket for them. Students may attend
the game free with their student ID, but must sit in the specified student
sections of the stadium. |

What does the registration fee cover?
The registration fee covers all registration materials needed for the weekend and two (2) USF Family Weekend t-shirts. The fee must be paid if you plan to attend Family Weekend. This is a per family fee, not per person attending. Additional T-shirts will be available
for purchase during registration for $6.

Do we have to buy a separate football
ticket for our student?
Your student is admitted free into the
football game with their student ID. However,
students are designated to sit in specific
sections of Raymond James Stadium.
If you would like for your student to sit with you, you must purchase a ticket for your student.

Do I have to pay for my student to attend events?
Yes, you do have to pay for your student if he/she plans to attend the events with you.
|
|
Is their seating in Raymond James Stadium for the
disabled?
Yes. If you require reasonable accommodation for a disability, please call (813) 974-4828 no later than October 19, 2006.

Where can I get USF attire?
The USF Bookstore in the Marshall Center, of course!

Where to park on campus?
Parking for Family Weekend guests will be available in Lot 22, around the Sun Dome, after 1pm on Thursday, November 2 and all day, Friday, November 3. Parking permits will not be needed in Lot 22 during these two time periods.

Should we expect to receive additional information regarding USF Family Weekend prior to our visit to USF?
You will be sent confirmation of your reservation either through e-mail or the US Mail. If you do not receive your confirmation, please call (813) 974-4828.

How do we get our registration materials?
When you arrive for USF Family Weekend/ Homecoming, be sure to pick-up your registration packet at Campus View East (4th FL) in the
Phyllis P. Marshall Center. Your student can pick up your registration packet with proper identification.

What is the
deadline to register for USF
Family Weekend?
Your registration and payment
must be received by October 19th. Some
activities have a limited amount of space
available and will fill up quickly.
Registration by October 19th does not
guarantee a spot in these activities.
Any registrations and payments received after
October 19th will be accepted on a
space available basis only.

How do I pay
for USF Family Weekend?
We accept credit card payments through
Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American
Express, and Personal Checks (made payable
