MEMORANDUM

 Re:                 Enrollment and Degree Plans

Attached you will find a format and instructions for universities to provide input for a statewide enrollment plan as well as data for the development of the degree production components of the Board of Governors' strategic plan.  As indicated in my April 2 memorandum, we are asking for considerably more detail in your plans than we have in past years, although, because of feedback received from institutions, the request does not include program-level plans for every degree.

In order to use the plans in the development of the 2005-06 budget request, we will need your responses no later than June 23, 2004.  A summary of the plans will be presented at the July Board of Governors meeting.  If you have any questions about this request, please contact Nancy McKee or Nate Johnson at 850-245-0470 (SunCom 205-0470).

Given the range of variables involved, from student demand to legislative funding to economic conditions, the plans will need to be reviewed and revised on a regular basis as conditions change.  The same will be true of the statewide plan developed by the Board of Governors.  I am looking forward to a long-term, productive collaboration in our strategic and enrollment planning efforts.
