We share the same aspirations for our students as you share for those you counsel—we want to help them achieve the highest goals possible. Each student is distinctive and your time is short. So we’ve provided this website to help you identify those students that might be the best fit for USF and to talk to them about the options available at an unforgettable university.
USF accepts applications from lower-level transfers (12-59 credits) and upper-level transfers (60+ credits). Unsure if your student qualifies as a transfer? Check out the definition here. Review all transfer admissions requirements and deadlines. Learn more about USF’s BSAS program for transfers.
High School Counselors
USF welcomes applications from all freshmen (first time enrolling at a university). Unsure if your student qualifies as a freshman? Check out the definition here. Also be sure to review all freshman admissions requirements and deadlines.
In this section, we cover information and requirements for special scenarios including home school, GED, students with disabilities and waivers.
How we Make Decisions
USF’s initial eligibility grid offers a transparent view of our evaluative process for freshmen. In addition to GPA, test scores and coursework, we consider a number of academic success predictors and other admission factors.
USF offers more than 100 undergraduate majors. The Honors College provides alternative programs for academically superior students and several accelerated programs. The Provost’s Scholars Program allows motivated students to complete a bachelor’s degree in three years.
