Why I Chose USF
When I took a campus tour, I immediately felt like USF was my home, and I knew I wanted to spend the next four years of my life here. I saw that there were unlimited opportunities for me, and everyone around was extremely friendly.
Number of Majors
When I came to USF, I knew that if I ever wanted to change my major (which I did three times), there are so many fields of study that I was bound to find one that fit. For me, it was business marketing!
Diversity and School Spirit
The school spirit among students from so many different cultures fascinates me. Everyone embraces the green and gold colors and they carry pride in our school. Everyone is very accepting, which is a unique aspect of USF that you can’t really find anywhere else.
Favorite Off-Campus Spot
I love the historical aspect of Ybor City (Tampa’s Latin Quarter). It makes me feel like I am in a completely different country.
Advice for Incoming Students
Your college experience is going to be what you make it. Getting involved in a student organization will totally enhance your experience. Don’t give up if you don’t find one right away. Keep trying, and I promise you will find one that clicks, and the people in that organization will become your family away from home.
