Why USF?...
I attended USF because it is the closest university to my home town.
Besides being close to home, USF’s offering of many undergraduate and
graduate degree programs, such as the bachelor's in
Biomedical Sciences
which will prepare me for medical school. In
addition, USF has a variety of graduate programs like the one I am
currently in, Entrepreneurship in Applied Technologies, which is an
interdisciplinary program offered by the
College of Business,
College of
Medicine and the College of Engineering. |

First Day...
I transferred to USF from a community college, so from my first day on
campus I was impressed
by the activities that were going on. Although it was hectic, there were
people everywhere who were more than happy to help me find my classes.
After the first hectic week was over, I started to like the USF
atmosphere, a big university environment with a small university
feeling. |

Student activities ...
It has been an honor to be the Founding President of the
Students in
Free Enterprise (SIFE) Team at USF. This organization
has the potential to be one of the best student organizations at USF and
also has the potential to literally change the world. S.I.F.E. is a
global non-profit organization that addresses the topics of market
economics, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, success skills and
business ethics through various community driven projects and programs.
Basically, it allows us to put in practice what we learn in the
classroom. Even though the team is only 2 years old, we have been
recognized both regionally and nationally in the media through our
achievements. Recently, we were placed in top 60 teams in the country
out of 950+ other teams. This organization has in no doubt shaped my college
career as a student at USF, and I encourage every student to get
involved.
In addition, as a transfer student and as the founding president of the
Transfer Student Council, it has been my mission along with the
organization’s to make USF’s transfer student population recognized so
that we can ease their transition from community college to USF.

Activities ...
For entertainment, the basement of the Marshall Center is the place.
Sometimes, to relieve some stress I go down there to play pool or ping
pong for free. The gym is an awesome place as well for working out. |
 |
Professors ...
Most of the professors at USF are very nice and they care about their
students. However, my favorite professors are Dr. Michael
Fountain, Dr. William Marshall, and Prof. Sean Lux of the Center for
Entrepreneurship. Of the past 2 semesters that I have been in the
program, they perhaps have taught me the most out of the 3 years that I
have been at USF. They have, no doubt, made the most impact in my
career as a student.

Multiculturalism ...
The very diverse culture of USF is one of the greatest benefits of
attending USF, in class or out. In the classroom, the diversity allows
me to learn the subject or hear an opinion from someone with a different
point of view. Outside of the classroom is where the different cultures
melt together as we socialize and learn about each other’s culture.
Whether young, old, Asian, African, European or Caribbean, I have met
so many different people from different places while at USF. |

Metropolitan area ...
Tampa is a great city to live and work in. With its continuously
growing growth rate, Tampa can create great opportunities for someone
like me who is interested in the corporate world as more and more
companies seek to relocate to Tampa. |

Global ...
Being at USF and being in the Master's in Entrepreneurship Program has
opened up a new set of doors for me. I can be assured that my degree will be
recognized everywhere I go and nothing will stop me from pursuing my future
career goals. The Master's program has taught me the ins and outs of the business
world globally while the numerous multicultural activities and organizations on
campus have prepared me to be able to socialize and communicate effectively with
people from different cultures. |
