Why USF?...
I decided to attend USF because of the variety of undergraduate majors that are available to its students. As a senior in high school, I was undecided about what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I felt safe choosing USF to get the most out of my educational experience. I’m glad I did, because there is no place out there I’d rather be!

First day ...
I remember being a little intimidated by the school’s size; I mean, USF is a big campus! Then I had my first few classes and the professors were wonderful and I realized that I was extremely happy I made the choice to come to USF. Plus, the campus might be huge but it’s beautiful!

Student activities ...
I am on the Marketing Team for the Leadership Board of Volunteer USF and I absolutely love it! This opportunity has allowed me to establish and strengthen leadership skills that will help me in many years to come! Also, I have been able to learn how to put together events that help other USF students get involved with community service, so this helps me establish communication and organization skills that are vital for my future.

Activities ...
I really enjoy the Campus Recreation classes that are available to students! I usually go to the Pilates and Yoga before my classes. I love to go to Movies on the Lawn or Bulls Night Out whenever I can. And lastly, I enjoy volunteering with The Center for Civic Engagement and Volunteerism because not only am I helping my community, but it’s an opportunity to meet some amazing people and make some great friends!

Professors ...
USF is lucky to have many professors that will go out of their way for students. One in particular is Dr. Caswell in the Chemistry Department and anyone who has taken him understands that he really cares whether or not you understand the material! Other professors I have had over the past two years have been very accommodating by answering emailed questions or even meeting with you during office hours to discuss any problems you have grasping the material. Overall, I love the professors at USF!

Multiculturalism ...
The cultural diversity at USF really helped broaden my perspective on the world and even life by teaching me a new way of thinking and looking at everyday situations. I feel like USF’s diversity has introduced me to so many different cultures which gives me a great appreciation for people who are different from me.

Global ...
USF’s diversity has allowed me to meet faculty and students from all around the world. This opportunity allows me to learn how to work with all different types of people. Also, USF’s curriculum has some amazing classes that teach students all about different global issues and organizations on campus (that) promote awareness of global issues to the student body.
