Why USF?...
I took a campus tour of USF in my sophomore year of high school and
knew instantly that USF was the university for me. USF had a strong Mass
Communications program and the Tampa Bay community had a lot of job
opportunities in my field. |

First Day...
When I arrived on campus in August of 2005, I was so excited to start
my college experience. After I moved into Cypress Suites, I meet my new
hall mates and we explored the campus and attended the welcome
activities. First day of classes I was a little nervous about taking the
Bull Runner to the mall for American National Government but I had a lot
of help from current students. |

Living the campus life ...
I have lived on campus every year. It was the best decision to make
because I have met some of my best friends in my residence halls and
have joined student organizations because of information from my
resident assistant. |
 |
Student activities ...
I have been a USF Ambassador for a year and have enjoyed attending
many university and alumni events. I have been a member of Alpha Phi
Omega National Service Fraternity and the Residence Hall Association for
two years and am currently a SG Senator for the College of Arts and
Sciences. I think that my involvement in student organizations has made
me a more effective leader and an active community member. At USF there
is an organization for everybody.

 |
Activities ...
One of my favorite things to do on campus is hang out in the
Marshall Center. There are so many things to do ranging from using the SG Computer lab, browsing in the art gallery and meeting up for
organization meetings. |
 |
Professors ...
One of my favorite professors has been
Dr. Wilber who taught Introduction to
Mass Communication and Society. He was a great professor who made class
interesting by teaching from the heart. |
 |
Transitioning ...
Being at USF has allowed me to be more independent and take my
educational career into my own hands. |
 |
Multiculturalism ...
USF has such a diverse student population which is one of the most
attractive things about the university. I love being able to learn
alongside students who represent difference countries and perspectives
from all over the world. |
 |
Metropolitan area ...
One of the reasons that I chose USF was the career opportunities in
the Tampa area. There is a huge media market in Tampa and numerous
public relations firms. I plan on interning at a firm here. |
 |
Global ...
The classes that I have taken, the diverse friends that I have made
and USF’s support of international community has contributed to my global
perspective. |
