Meet Our Students - Salaheddine

Year:

Graduate Student

Hometown: Tunis, Tunisia

Major:

Speech-Language Pathology

Career goal:

Becoming a Speech-Language Pathologist, practicing the job and contributing to its findings by doing the following:

a- Conducting researches in SLP and teaching it at University.
b- Own a private clinic and practice not only for lucrative purposes but also for free to those who can't afford to pay treatment costs.
c- Being a member of the American Speech-Hearing Association, ASHA, I dream of obtaining its approval and support to represent it in my country and North Africa. That would give me the potential to help disseminate public awareness on how to reduce Speech-Language disorders, especially among children.

Did you get a scholarship?

Yes , Fulbright is a highly reputable scholarship sponsored by the US department of State.

Favorite campus hangout or favorite past time in the Tampa area: Breeze way, between our department and the Psychology department. A very friendly place where students of both departments meet to eat and study!

3 things I love about USF:

1. Diversity, which helps students be more open towards others and familiar with them.
2. Very Friendly staff especially the Librarians.
3. Simple and fast procedures.

3 things you love about Tampa, Florida:

I love Florida for its weather and nature, theme parks and because it's just Florida I've heard of since I was so young!
