Why I Chose USF
USF was always one of my top choices, but I officially decided to attend because it had everything I was looking for. It’s a large public university with a “homey feel”, in a prime location in the Tampa Bay area that allows for many internship/work opportunities, and there is always something to do both on and off campus.
As a major research university, USF has numerous opportunities for students to get involved. I’ve done everything from filling out research surveys for graduate students to researching information about people arrested by the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.
I’m never bored! There are always events on campus. And with events you’ll always find something FREE. Free food, free shirts, free sunglasses, free something. But other than the obvious fun, what I love about USF is the diverse student population. I have made friends with people from all over the world, all thanks to USF.
I always looked forward to attending “Crime and Justice in America.” Instead of getting a boring lecture every day, we had very important speakers teach some of the lessons. They included everyone from the state of Florida’s top prosecutor to FBI agents to a man that was wrongly convicted of a crime and later released.
