OVERVIEW

This tutorial is primarily designed for those occasions when the bid typist is not available to process a bid or proposal that needs to be ready for distribution immediately. Secondarily, this site is an information source for those who have questions about the bid/proposal process for Purchasing and Financial Services, and for those who wish to start a bid/proposal process.

This tutorial will:

1. Provide detailed step-by-step instructions of how to take the specifications, the special condition statements, and the general statements received from the purchasing agent or the director and create a final bid or proposal document for distribution to vendors and to the general public.
2. Standardize preparation of bids and proposals.
3. Eliminate need for individual training sessions.
