About Outdoor Recreation:
A division of Student Affairs' Campus Recreation Center, Outdoor Rec's purpose is to provide affordable outdoor recreation, education and adventure opportunities to a diverse campus and community.
We offer programs to suit all ability levels and interests. Our staff can help you develop your skills whether you are a beginner or advanced.
The Outdoor Resource Center (ORC),
REC 006...
Is Outdoor Rec's central hub. Come in to sign up for trips, buy a canoe/kayak pass,
rent camping gear and reserve the Ropes Course in the ORC. The Outdoor Resource Center is located in room 006 of the campus recreation building (REC), close to the women's locker rooms.
The outdoor recreation coordinators' offices are also located near the ORC.
Riverfront Park (RFP)
Canoe or kayak the Hillsborough River, reserve a pavilion for a get-together, play disc golf or just enjoy the flora and fauna. We also have a world-class ropes course for your group to grow stronger.
Adventure Trips
No experience required for an experience you'll never forget.
Our trips hike to peaks in the Rockies, paddle to islands in the Everglades
and anywhere in between. Sign up in the ORC.
Ropes Course
Our unique workshops range in length from a couple hours to a multi-day
experience. Whether your organization is looking for an energetic
bonding experience, a retreat component or just some good old-fashioned fun,
we tailor to your objectives
