ASSESSMENT:
The Attitudes and Alternatives
Program (AAP) is offered to members of the USF community
who are concerned about their own drinking habits or drug
use. This service provides in-depth, individualized assessment
and feedback regarding participants' substance use. For more
information, see Attitudes and
Alternatives Program.
TREATMENT:
CASA provides short-term psychotherapy treatment for individuals
with concerns about substance use and non-substance related
addictions. CASA also offers groups such as an Adult
Children of Addictions (ACOA) therapy group. For an appointment
or more information, contact the Counseling Center for Human
Development at 974-9403
REFERRAL:
CASA provides referrals to community treatment agencies and
has current campus and community meeting information for most
peer-based recovery groups in the Tampa Bay area. For information
regarding referrals contact the Counseling Center For Human
Development at 974-9403. For additional information and links
to several national recovery group sites, see Approaches
To Changing Problem Drinking Or Other Drug Use (pdf).
Please Note: The AAP does not fulfill
the requirements of
court-ordered substance abuse programs or DUI Counter Attack.
