Stipend and Benefits
Stipends for the internship placement will
be approximately $23,700. The intern and the University jointly
pay the Social Security and Medicare deductions.
Interns are provided information regarding faculty and student
support services available on campus (Employee
Assistance Program referral service, Diversity
and Equal Opportunity office, Student
Health Services, legal counsel referral service, library
privileges, parking privileges, and recreational
privileges). Also included is information on the Tampa
Bay community (Visitor's Bureau, housing guides, educational
and cultural events). Interns each have a private office with
audio taping equipment, a personal computer linked to the
Center's local area network, a telephone with voicemail, access
to several laser printers in the Center, a DV-corder, and
several VCR/DVD players for supervision and other training
purposes. In addition to University holidays, interns may
use up to 20 days for professional development, vacation,
and illness.
