Objective

lab chemicalsThe mission of the USF Laboratory Safety Program is to promote the safe use of chemicals in all University teaching and research laboratories by advising and training the USF community on applicable federal, state, and local regulations.






 

  The duties of the Laboratory Safety Program include:

  • Safety training workshops
  • Site Inspections
  • Fume hood certification
  • Maintenance of the USF Chemical Hygiene Plan (CHP)
  • Code compliance for laboratory construction/modification projects
  • Support for USF Laboratory Task Force and various departmental safety committees
