Objective

The University of South Florida is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for all of its employees, students and visitors. As a University of South Florida employee, you will want to practice good safety habits and observe appropriate precautions at all times for the protection of yourself and others.  Even then, accidents and injuries on the job can happen. 

Our goal is to educate the University of South Florida community, to promote a general understanding of the University’s responsibilities under the State of Florida Workers’ Compensation Law; provide assistance, guidance and oversee benefits are received in a timely manner.  Worker’s Compensation is available to all employees (Faculty, Administrative & Professional , USPS, FWSP, Courtesy Appointments, OPS and Volunteers), when an employee sustains a Work-Related Injury when involved in a work-related task, at the place of employment, during regular work hours.
