USF Cited in Princeton Review's "Best 366 Colleges"
The University of South Florida ranks number 17 among the Best 366 Colleges in the nation for diversity according to The Princeton Review's 2008 Guide. Only about 15 percent of the four-year colleges in America and two Canadian colleges were selected for the book.
In USF’s two-page profile, the results of student surveys showed an appreciation for the diverse student body. A student is quoted as saying, “Everyone here is from different walks of life and everyone here is open to it, accepts it, and loves it.” Another stated, “You can always find somewhere to fit in.”

USF President Genshaft Named Business Woman of the Year by Tampa Bay Business Journal
The Tampa Bay Business Journal has named University of South Florida President Judy Genshaft as its Overall Business Woman of the Year. The honor was announced at a ceremony on Friday, August 17. She also won in the Education category.
The Business Woman of the Year award recognizes the achievements of President Genshaft, and the contribution she is making to the economic vitality of the Tampa Bay region. She is involved in several civic and economic activities, including 2007 Chair of the Tampa Bay Partnership, and she is 2007 Chair-Elect of the Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce. The University of South Florida is one of the largest employers in the Tampa Bay region and has a $3.2 billion impact on the regional economy. USF is one of Florida's top three research universities.
