USF Diversity Summit
The USF Diversity Summit has been held three times, the most recent in January 5, 2007. The USF Diversity Summit was initiated by the USF Diversity Network and supported by the Office of Diversity and Equal Opportunity and the Office of the President. The program has evolved in three years and will continue to evolve as the best practices in Diversity and Inclusion expand and are integrated into the mission, vision, goals and values of the university. Initially, the Diversity Summit provided an opportunity for the Presidential Advisory Committees and the diverse communities on campus to share their perspective with the executive leadership of the university around three themes: accomplishments, continuing concerns and recommendations. Since that initial program the Summit has expanded to include a wider audience and wider discussions about diversity. In January 5, 2007 we invited Dr. Damon Williams as the keynote speaker. The program grew from half day to a full day of activities. The USF Diversity Network has been the main planner of the event and has continued to engage the leadership of university. In the pages enclosed you can review the program for each of the program and how it has developed.
