After your file is complete and reviewed, your
eligibility for aid is determined. If you are new to USF, your file will be
reviewed in March for an initial award offer.
All initial awards are based on
full-time
enrollment; however, grants, including Federal Pell Grants, and campus-based
funds are disbursed/prorated based on actual enrollment. Some awards are estimated:
Some awards are conditional upon your meeting specific eligibility requirements. Carefully read your Award Provisions, you may access the Award Provisions online. The provisions provide the conditions of your award(s), instructions on obtaining your funds and maintaining your eligibility.
Your awards may be revised if we receive
updated information that requires it. Therefore, it is to your benefit to
regularly (at least weekly at the beginning of each term) check your awards
in OASIS. FBF eligibility estimates for new freshmen are based on overall high school GPA and SAT/ACT scores received by the USF Admissions Office. New freshmen who have an estimate but whose eligibility has not been confirmed by the state will be notified via e-mail prior to the beginning of classes. All students who are eligible for FBF are downloaded from the State’s database, beginning in June.
