Scholarship Resources

Scholarships are gift aid provided to students based on academic achievement, athletic ability, or talent. Some scholarships also factor in financial need in determining eligibility.

February 15, 2008 : Complete your FAFSA to be considered for scholarships awarded by the Scholarship Resources Office (SRO) and some academic units that partner with the SRO. January 2, 2008 : Apply for admission to be considered for Undergraduate Admissions Freshman Scholarships. April 1, 2008 : Apply for admission to be considered for Undergraduate Admissions Transfer Scholarships.

Application Process
There is not a separate application for most scholarships because we use academic and other information available in USF records. To insure that you have the greatest chance of scholarship eligibility please follow the steps below.

  1. Your application for admission and your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) are all that is required to apply for most scholarships. The FAFSA is a requirement to receive most scholarships. Complete the FAFSA each year regardless of your family income.
  2. New students : Complete the admissions process prior to the priority application date.
    Continuing students
    : Maintain good academic standing

  3. Complete the USF Scholarships Additional Requirements form for scholarships that have special requirements.
  4. Apply for scholarships awarded by the college of your major by using the scholarship menu above.
  5. Apply for scholarships according to your campus by using the scholarship menu above.
