The George W. Jenkins Scholarship is designed to help outstanding students with significant financial need complete a college education. This scholarship was established to honor the memory of USF alumni Domenic Giunta and to celebrate his life. The ideal candidate is a Hillsborough County high school senior with a strong academic record. In addition to leadership and community service, the Giunta family is particularly interested in supporting a student who has demonstrated a spirit of altruism or selflessness since Mr. Giunta gave his own life while rescuing several children at Honeymoon Island. Extraordinary volunteer service will also be considered.
