Summer 2017 Financial Aid Information

What is my summer cost of attendance?

You can estimate your summer cost of attendance by using our Summer Cost of Attendance Wizard.

Summer Eligibility:

  • You must be making satisfactory academic progress (SAP).
  • If your spring SAP status is warning, probation, or if you are close to your maximum time required, your summer aid eligibility will not be determined until after grades have posted on May 11th.
  • To receive federal loans or the USF Grant, you must be enrolled at least half time (undergraduate – 6 undergraduate hours, graduate – 5 graduate hours).
  • You must complete all unsatisfied requirements in OASIS to be awarded or disbursed summer aid.
  • You must meet all eligibility requirements for each award, as listed in the Terms and Conditions document and in OASIS.

Important Information about Your Summer Award:

  • We will automatically award you any remaining Pell Grant eligibility, if you did not attempt full-time enrollment in Fall 2016 and/or Spring 2017.
  • In order to be considered for summer work study, you must complete a summer aid application and currently be working in a federal work study job.
  • You may accept less than the offered amount of any student loan awarded.
  • If you are a continuing/transfer student, your initial summer awards will be based on enrollment in summer C session (10 weeks).
  • If you are a new freshman for summer, your initial summer awards will be based on enrollment in summer B session (6 weeks).
