Message from the Dean:

Dear Marine Science Faculty and Staff,

As an employee of University of South Florida’s College of Marine Science, your connection with the students and our mission is extremely important. On behalf of the entire University, I would like to thank you for your hard work and dedication to USF. Your generous gifts of time and talent to the University are what help to keep our institution strong. As a result, the College was able to make significant progress toward becoming one of the top oceanographic institutions in the world and one that is recognized as a leader in applying science to societal needs through research, service and the training of future scientists.

To continue this progress, I ask you to participate in the USF Faculty & Staff Campaign. The campaign provides a powerful opportunity to support the work of our college. Last year, 28% of CMS employees participated in the USF Faculty and Staff Campaign. That is an increase of 40% from the previous year. This year our goal is 35% participation, a challenge that I'm sure we can achieve.
