Faculty Positions
The University of South Florida introduced an online application
process,
Careers@USF,
effective 8/3/2009. If you have recently applied for a
position with USF, no further action is needed unless
you are contacted directly to complete an online
application for that position.
USF opened its doors in 1956. Since then, through our
broad array of programs and the contributions of our
faculty we have begun to define the role that a new
generation of metropolitan research universities will
play in the lives of their students, communities,
states, nation, and world. There has never been a more
exciting time to join USF and to play a vital role in
shaping our future. In just fifty years, we have become
the 9th largest and one of the two fastest
growing research universities in the United States, with
an annual economic impact on the Tampa Bay region of
$3.2 billion.
Faculty positions are defined as positions assigned the principal
responsibility of teaching, research, or public service
activities or for administrative responsibility for
functions directly related to the academic mission. Faculty employees are appointed by periods, usually twelve or nine
months. Additional terms and conditions of employment
may be specified.
USF faculty members enjoy a wide range of benefits:
-
Excellent health insurance programs and supplemental
insurances
-
Employer-funded retirement programs
-
Generous leave programs, including paid parental
leave
-
Childcare options
-
Eligible for discounts
and employee perks offered by local and national
vendors
-
