Information
Applicants interested in applying for a currently
advertised position at USF must apply online through
Careers@USF. Applications are accepted for
advertised positions only. If you are applying for a
Staff position and claiming Veterans’ Preference,
complete the Veterans’ Preference Claim Form and upload
as an attachment through Careers@USF.

Individuals who need a reasonable accommodation in order

five (5) working days in advance of the requested

Campus Security
The
safety and security of all members of the campus
community is of vital concern to USF. The Division of
Public Safety website provides information concerning
campus security, personal safety, emergency procedures,
hazardous weather, alerts and updates, along with links
to the University Police, the Campus Security and Safety
Guide, and other resources.

Applications are only accepted through
Careers@USF online. Applicants may apply
online from any computer with internet access.
Public computers are available on campus in Tampa in
the HR office in SVC 2172, Monday-Friday, 8 AM – 5
PM; in the HR offices at USF St. Petersburg, USF
Sarasota-Manatee and USF Polytechnic, and in the
libraries.

Some
positions require fingerprinting and/or drug testing
as a condition of employment. The job posting will
identify which positions require this.

Applicants will be automatically notified that their
application has been successfully submitted. If you
have not heard from a department within 2-3 weeks
after the position's deadline date, you may assume
you were not selected for an interview. Applicants
may login to Careers@USF at any time to check
the status of positions for which they have
applied. The Careers@USF system will send an
automatic notification to all applicants via email
once a recruitment has ended.

As a
condition of employment and promotion with a State
agency, Florida law requires employees to: sign a
loyalty oath; provide proof of completion for any
sentence relating to a felony conviction in Florida
since October 1990 for selling, trafficking in, or
conspiring to sell or traffic in, a controlled
substance; show proof of Selective Service
registration if you are a male between the ages of
18-26; show documentary proof on an Employment
Eligibility (I-9) form that you are authorized to
work in the United States; and have salary payments
electronically transferred to a financial
institution (direct deposit).
