Getting Started in GEMS
Use this URL:
https://gems.fastmail.usf.edu/gemspro/signon.html
to access the sign on page of GEMS.
There is recommended and
required training for various users and roles within GEMS. To
determine what type of training you require, see the sections in
About GEMS and
Training > About Training on the menu at the
left.
Obtain a GEMS ID and Access
To obtain a GEMS ID and
access to the GEMS system, you need to:

Determine your role and
level of security related to that role. To
determine your level of security access, use the
About GEMS menu at the
left to access the descriptions for GEMS Role Definitions and
GEMS Roles.

Obtain a USF domain ID to
access the USF network. This is obtained through your
department network administrator.

Obtain a GEMS ID for access to
the GEMS system. Use the Forms menu at the left to access the
GEMS Security Access Form.
You must have your Dean or Director approve your request for access.
