Delivering Effective Presentations (PRC102)

Intended Audience: Those who currently deliver presentations, plan to do so in the future, or want to develop greater comfort and confidence when speaking in public.

Program Overview: Preparation and practice are two keys to delivering effective presentations. By developing your delivery skills and taking the right steps to prepare your content, you will experience more ease and success when delivering a presentation. In this workshop, participants will have the opportunity to learn and practice presentation techniques that will increase both skill and ability to achieve the desired result.

Objectives: Participants will identify the key elements of content organization and preparation, and build their skills and comfort in the following aspects of presentation delivery:

  • Vocal volume, pacing and tone;

  • Use of eye-contact, posture, movement and gestures;

  • Engaging the audience;

  • Responding to audience questions.

Agenda:

  • Characteristics and practices of effective presenters;

  • Presentation delivery and small group skills practice;

  • Responding to audience questions;

  • Preparing and organizing your content;

  • Power Point do's and don'ts.
