Many Faces of AfricaThe Many Faces of Africa program was developed by the Institute on Black Life and the Center for Africa and the Diaspora as part of USF's response to the need to encourage K-12 students in the School District of Hillsborough County to learn about Africa's rich cultural heritage. This activity is part of several ongoing efforts aimed at identifying and highlighting issues of significance to the continent and the global community as well as the opportunities to address, redress, or ameliorate those issues. One of the missions of the Institute on Black Life and Center for Africa and the Diaspora is to promote research and cultural activities that highlight Africa and African descendants in the Diaspora. This event is part of our effort to fulfill that mission. |
