Strategic Learning

Course Overview

This 1-credit course is designed to assist students with the development of effective intellectual and academic strategies to enhance success both in college and as well as for lifelong learning. Through the process of reflective practice, students will have the opportunity to develop an understanding of themselves as learners, and then to intentionally apply that understanding to the development of the most effective strategies for success in both college learning and beyond.  Targeting the most immediate academic needs, students learn to approach knowledge based on their personal metacognitive response to learning and to develop processes of knowledge acquisition that are personally meaningful.
