Tools
for Trainers
In today's fast paced and changing world, professionals
must constantly learn new skills, expand knowledge, and
shift attitudes. In order to accomplish this,
organizations need those who can deliver effective
training and development processes. This series of four
workshops has been developed to help trainers build
their skills in the areas of training design and
delivery.
Engaging the Adult
Learning (TRN100):
In this workshop, participants
will learn how adults learn, strategies to gain the
interest and respect of adult learners, and how to
create an environment conducive to learning.
June
3, 9:00 to 12:00 noon in SVC2070

Trainer's
Presentation Skills (TRN200): During
this workshop, participants will enhance presentation
delivery skills, expand their comfort and confidence
when making presentations, and learn to present ideas in
a well-organized and engaging manner.
June 17, 9:00 to 12:00 noon in SVC2070
Trainer's
Facilitation Skills (TRN300):
Participants in this workshop will learn to engage
participation and interaction, manage the focus and
flow of group discussions, facilitate learning
activities, and respond effectively to participant
questions and challenges.
July
1, 9:00 to 12:00 noon in SVC2070
The Trainer's
Design Workshop (TRN400):
In this workshop participants will learn to define
learning objectives, design a flow of activities
that build skills in an appropriate sequence, assess
participant learning, and balance time spent on
presentation, interaction, and hands-on practice
activities.
