"This year as a graduate assistant I will get the opportunity to work with the Transfer Orientation Team Leaders as they progress through a senior leadership position in our office. I will supervise our Transfer Orientation Retreat Facilitator while she creates a retreat for her team from scratch. I also have the pleasure of advising the Orientation Leader Alumni Association as they work to gain members and create new traditions. Along with working in the Office of Orientation, I will be completing internships in USF's Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life and the Student Leadership and Engagement Office at the University of Tampa."

2010-2012

Undergraduate Institution:

Rockford College

Current Projects in Second Year of Program:

"My most memorable experience was the ability to have post-Orientation conversations with the student leaders after having recruited, trained and supervised the team throughout the summer. I had the opportunity to facilitate exit interviews with each student that focused on the growth they experienced after becoming an OTL. After mentoring, observing and discussing the student's development on an individual basis, my passion for working with students in the field of student affairs was solidified. The whole assistantship prepared me for the challenges and excitement of the profession in every aspect!"

First professional position?

2009-2011

Undergraduate Institution:

Bridgewater State University (formerly Bridgewater State College)

Most memorable experience:

"My most memorable experience was being given the opportunity to work with the 2010 OTL team. My supervisor gave me the opportunity to work their full cycle as a team - recruitment, selection, teaching the OTL Leadership Course, supervision, final banquet and everything in between! I will never forget that team or opportunity. I believe that it was because of my experience that I am in my position today."
