Transfer Credits Evaluation

Students transferring to USF with credits from another institution are strongly encouraged to be proactive in determining which credits will go toward their degree.

The Admissions Office will evaluate transcripts to determine if courses will become USF credit hours.

Not all transferred courses may count toward USF major and degree requirements. We recommend utilizing DegreeWorks and contacting an academic advisor to ensure that applicable courses are evaluated to meet USF degree requirements.

If you have taken prerequisites that aren't showing as a completed requirement in DegreeWorks, you are responsible for seeking a credit evaluation. The transfer credit evaluation process will not be finalized until after you declare your major with your academic college at Orientation.
