| The Research Support Services
Team was established in the early 2000s in response to feedback from
researchers on services provided by University support services areas.
The Team was co-sponsored by the Division of Sponsored Research and
BHRIT/Administrative Services (now Sr. VP Business and Finance and
V.P. Information Technology).
The V.P. for Research and Innovation established
TRAIN (The Research
Administration Improvement Network) in 2009 to develop and implement plans
to re-engineer business support services, information, and
problem-solving mechanisms for USF researchers and their support
staffs and now supports the researcher needs, thus ending the official
functioning of the Research Support Services Team.
Even though the Research Support Services Team no longer functions
as a team, the representatives from
the various administrative and support areas of the University
are available to assist researchers by providing
support from the following
areas: Information Technology, Telephones, Purchasing, Human
Resources, Facilities, Police, Post-Award Administration,
Hazardous Material Safety, and University Controller. Some
of the support can be provided at no charge to you or your
department. Other chargeable services will be coordinated
with your college or department, as appropriate.
The
Research Support Services overview may be printed for
distribution within your department.
