Getting Started... Suppliers are required to complete and submit a University of South Florida Vendor Application. The application may be completed and mailed or faxed. If mailed to Purchasing, brochures, line cards, catalogs, business cards, MBE certification, etc. may be included.

The Bidding Process... Be sure to check available University bids each week (see "Bids Currently Available"). in accordance with Board of Trustees Rules, the University of South Florida conducts an open, competitive bidding process. Depending on the dollar value, and the scope of work, the bidding process may take the form of an informal Bid, a Formal Bid, or Proposal.
Informal Bids or Quotes are used for purchases below $50,000. Informal Bids may be solicited by telephone, mail, or fax.
Formal Bids & Proposals are used for procurement activities over $50,000. They remain sealed until the scheduled public opening.
Vendor Selection... Selection of reputable and reliable suppliers is the responsibility of Purchasing. The University of South Florida endeavors to conduct its business in a fair and equitable manner. Purchases are made on the bases of quality, service, delivery and price.
