In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxUSF, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxUSF event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
This theme seeks to bring about a change in conventional mindsets and encourage individuals to muster the courage to tread the path less walked. One of the most significant catalysts for social change consists of people challenging social institutions and societal beliefs. Challenging contemporary modes of thought or specific "truths" paves the way for academic discovery and is the very essence of moving from "what is" to "what is not." Are you ready to challenge what is?
There are various ways to connect to TEDxUSF this year. Discover how you can be involved in this dynamic event as a volunteer, audience member and even live host of the event! Learn more!

What’s the secret? Jill Bolte Taylor says it best: “The fruit is always out on the limb. You’ve got to go out on a limb.”
