Webmaster Resources
This section provides a list of resources/Web applications that can improve the presence of your Web site.
Need a Calendar?
USF provides each department with a free calendar. The calendar should be used only to post events for the community at large. This application allows our visitors to search for events, subscribe to calendars, and access an RSS feed. These instructions
will provide more details about the login process, as well as instructions for submitting events to the USF Calendar of Events. For more information or to request a new calendar, please email university webmaster.
Google Search Page
Do you need a search page for your Web site? For more information or to request a search page for your site, please email university webmaster.
Need Web-Ready Photos
Please visit the image gallery for a directory of Web-ready photos that you may use on your Web site.
Usablenet Assistive
Usablenet Assistive creates a dynamically generated, text-only, and accessible (compliant with standards such as ADA, Section 508, W3C, etc) view of a company’s entire Web site and services. UA is not a ‘second’ site, but instead creates a dynamic accessible view of the main site that always reflects the most up-to-date content and services. As the main site changes constantly (in the way of enterprise Web sites), each and every change is dynamically reflected in the accessible view created by the UA platform. For more information or to request the free UA code for your site, please email university webmaster.
Need a Blog?
blog@USF is a weblog ("blog" for short) hosting system for users with email accounts on mail.usf.edu. It's easy to setup and easy to use. To get started, click here to get more information on creating a blog.
Web Statistics
Currently, Deepmetrix is the statistical software package used to gather statistics on the usf.edu Web site; however, Deeptmetrix is no longer a supported application so we are in the process of evaluating new software. Please contact us if you would like to be notified via email of any changes. If you currently use Deepmetrix and would like to discuss this further, contact the university webmaster.
CMS - Content Management System
The webmaster continues to work with IT to evaluate a replacement for the current CMS.
