Other issues:

  1. Tuition increased 8.5%, with university discretion to increase all levels except in-state undergraduate an additional 6.5%.
  2. Funds are provided for a salary increase of 2%, with a $500 minimum and a $1,400 maximum (Specific Item 1945L) and language in Section 8, page 345 of the conference bill.
  3. Funds are provided for an increase in the FRS retirement rate (Specific Item 1950B).
  4. Funds are provided for an increase in health insurance (Specific Item 1947).
  5. Funds appropriated in 2002-03 for the Centers of Excellence have been reverted and are re-appropriated for 2003-04. See Section 46 (page 360) of the appropriations bill.
  6. Funds for baccalaureate degree programs at St. Petersburg College have been moved to the Community College section of the budget (Specific Item 101A).
