Photography department

The USF Photography department promotes the university through compelling imagery. We do this by helping you obtain the pictures that best serve your needs by scheduling shoots with our photographers or locating existing images.

Services:

USF Photography creates high-quality images for annual reports, brochures, magazines, newsletters and other publications or web sites promoting USF. The staff captures environmental portraits and headshots for campus organizations, staff, faculty and sports teams and provides freelance photographers for campus events.

The UR photography staffers shoot with state-of-the-art digital cameras and image-editing software to ensure your images are color-corrected and press-ready to meet deadlines. The photography department maintains an entirely digital workflow to meet the high volume of demands of the USF campus. Images are provided on CD or DVD or through e-mail as a JPEG, TIFF or PSD (Photoshop) format. As of 2006, film services will no longer be offered.

As an auxiliary (self-supporting) department, these services are provided at a reasonable cost to USF colleges, schools, departments, divisions and individuals. In the event that university photography cannot meet your needs, they can easily refer from a list of local freelance photographers with a long affiliation with USF.

If you would like to commission the photography department, contact Joseph Gamble, University Photographer, at (813) 974-9057 or jgamble@admin.usf.edu. It is imperative that you contact USF photography a minimum of two weeks in advance of your intended shoot date.
