Accidental & Disability Insurance

Colonial Life Insurance Company offers both a disability and accident insurance plan on a pre-tax basis.

Accident Insurance:

Colonial’s Accident insurance offers 24-hour coverage for accidents that occur either on or off the job. Benefits are paid regardless of workers’ compensation or any other insurance an employee may have. Colonial also offers two Sickness Rider’s and a Health Screening Rider, in addition to the Accident Insurance.


Accident/Disability Insurance:

This insurance plan helps replace portion of employee’s income (ranging from $400 to $3,000 per month, based on salary) if the employee is unable to work due to a covered illness or injury. Benefit periods range from 6 months, 12 months, or up to 24 months. Elimination periods start at 0/7 and up, meaning you wait 0 days for covered accident and 7 days for covered disability to be eligible to collect for this benefit. The employee is paid regardless of any other insurance. Like the Accident Insurance, there is a Health Screening Rider available.
