Open
Enrollment
The Open Enrollment Period is the only
opportunity enrollees have to change plan participation unless they
experience a Qualifying
Status Change event. The Open Enrollment period is usually held
during the Fall of the year, and all benefits elected during Open
Enrollment go into effective on January 1 of the following calendar
year.
Prior to the start of every Open Enrollment,
People First will send
out notices to all eligible participants announcing the dates during
which elections can be made.
The Open Enrollment period gives every employee the chance to review,
change, or cancel their benefits, as well as make changes to dependents
as needed.
Benefits Fair:
With Open Enrollment, the University of South Florida invites all
eligible employees to meet with representatives from the various plan
providers during our local Benefits Fair. The Benefits Fair provides an
excellent opportunity to ask questions and make comparisons prior to
selecting benefits for the next year.
